Dis/abled decolonial human and citizen futures

This article utilises the dual methodological lens of disability and decolonisation in order to critically examine, interdisicplinary global perspective, what it will mean be both a ‘human’ ‘citizen’ 21st century. I propose development an epistemological framework methodology dis/abling decolonising knowledge on humanness citizenship anticipate demographic, environmental, technological futures. Firstly, examine how critical approaches challenge able-ist premises liberal political theory. Secondly, by analysing US immigration US/UK eugenics movements, illustrate able-ist, raced, colonial constructs human-ness using decolonial lens. Finally, look towards anticipating human citizen futures through case artificial intelligence, where its reification raced status quo one hand, potential for changing terrains bounds citizenship.
